Education
How can we provide more opportunities to our students?

Why teach to a test, when the test doesn't teach you life skills?
We need to eliminate requirements for standardized testing, and instead focus on offering programs that prep students for the real world that they are graduating into.
We need to bring back classes such as home economics to teach kids basic financial skills, and re-invest in shop, art, engineering and even cooking classes. STEM is a good start, but giving kids the opportunity to try careers from healthcare to skilled trades in primary school will not only re-engage students with fun and hands-on education, but also provide them a multitude of opportunities and career paths upon graduation, better prepared for the job of the future.
Since 2017, literacy rates in the U.S. have fallen nearly 10%. Combined with the insane cost of college, and the introduction of AI, we need to completely rethink our education system to better prepare today's kids for the economy of tomorrow.
Free Lunch (and breakfast)
For All Kids. Nobody ever needs to go through school hungry in the richest country in the the world.
Trade Programs & Shop
I was in the last shop class at my highschool. It was by far the most enjoyable class I ever took and taught me skills I still use nearly everyday.
We need to bring back shop and specialty trade classes. Becoming a licensed plumber, electrician, contractor, HVAC tech, Welder can be a lucrative career path, and have a very real possibility of opening your own buisiness. These are the types of careers that no AI is going to replace in the forseeable future, whereas many desk jobs are the most likely to be replaced by artificial intelligence.
